What does IDEAM do?
IDEAM is a mobility platform for building mobile and desktop pc applications, including printing from a mobile device. IDEAM is comprised of two components:

• IDEAM Mobile a rapid application designer
• IDEAM Server a communication server that manages connections between applications powered by IDEAM and host systems or databases.

What is IDEAM Mobile used for?
IDEAM Mobile is used to create data collection applications and to add mobile connections to existing host databases/systems without writing code.

What is IDEAM Server used for?
IDEAM Server is a communications server that enables live connectivity to host systems/databases. IDEAM Server can manage applications designed with tools other than IDEAM Mobile and even custom applications.

How is IDEAM licensed?
IDEAM is licensed several ways. The IDEAM Mobile application designer is licensed by application client (pc or mobile device). Each copy of Mobile includes 5 client device licenses. Additional client licenses are also available. If you plan to develop batch mode applications this is all that is required.
If you use IDEAM server to manage real-time database connectivity, you will need a license per connection. These licenses are handled concurrently.

IDEAM can print to virtually any printer using a direct cable or LAN connection, Bluetooth or a wireless LAN (WiFi) connection.

Applications powered by IDEAM can connect to SENTINEL using the IDEAM Server plug-in. Once this connection is established, desktop and mobile
